Blindsighted By Karin Slaughter

Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter was such a fantastic read! I truly could not put it down! Make sure you have time to read it through, because you will not want to put it down once you start reading!

I have started "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks". It tells the story of Henrietta, who had cancer and her cells were taken to be tested, and because her cancer was so aggressive, her cells multiplied at an alarming rate.

They have kept her cells and used them in several experiments, vaccines, etc. All unbeknownst to her and her family!

I absolutely cannot put this one down!

Yup... Me again. Ok Note to self... Must remember to have guys clean food out of fridge at work! I opened it to get a drink this morning and a steaming, green wave of putrid stench puffed out at me! Plech! (That's what my Granddaughter says when she doesn't like something). Anyway, it smelled like dirty feet, bad beans, and baked butt! I must put on hazmat suit and go clean the fridge! I am going in. If I'm not out in 15 minutes.. It took longer. :(

Covergirl & Olay

Ok so this one has absolutely nothing to do with books...or lupus...well sort of lupus. I received Covergirl and Olay foundation in the mail from Bzzagent yesterday. YAY! It's a full size bottle of foundation and a full size powder compact! Who does that anymore??? Nowadays when you want to try something, you get a teeny tiny trial size! I put it on this morning and it's the first make-up I've used that actually covered up the butterfly rash!!! (Angels sing) !!! YAY! Confetti!<img src="https://img.bzzagent.com/image/covergirlOlay.jpg?Type=activity&Activity=1058041311&Campaign=3550050590&Uid=1344026&token=9d27dc1c7e9740294302f31dde2adc4a" alt=""/>

Living With Lupus

Because I have Lupus, I have a lot of time to read. Bright spot!
I just started reading the "Dark Spells" Boxed set by Scott Nicholson and J.R. Rain. Pretty good so far...Let's get back to the original mission of this blog. Lol
I finished "Heart Full of Lies" by Ann Rule. I rate it 4.5 books! (Out of 5). It was well written and though you could guess the outcome it's a true crime story) Ms. Rule kept the reader enthralled. I would definately recommend it!
Hugs! :@

Review of Dark House - Experiments in Terror #1

So... After reading ALL day just so I could find out what happened, I stayed up a little late and tried to finish Dark House... Right up until my husband came into the living room and asked me if I was going to get up and go to bed or just drool all over the Kindle all night. (Apparently, I only thought I was still reading! )

I'm not sure what I expected from this one, but it wasn't haunted lighthouses and a creepy clown lady! ( Why oh why do I have to have  a clown phobia??? lol) Anyway, as I was saying, This poor girl was wandering around in her uncle's lighthouse and runs smack into a hot guy! Woo-hoo, he turns out to be real. Perry and Dex decide to team up to do ghost videos for the web. (Of course, I am really condensing here.) Poor Perry keeps running into this mysterious clown lady that has ominous warnings for her and Dex. It appears that only they can see her...If I say much more, it would ruin it, but suffice it to say, if you like suspense, thrillers, horror, this is a must read! Thank you for this awesome book Ms. Halle!
