Review of the Speaker For the Trees by Sean DeLauder

I received this book complimentary from the author in exchange for my review.Thank you Mr. DeLauder. I must tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. This book is out of my usual comfort genre, so I was surprised how smooth it read. It kept my interest and not once, did I think, "I must put this down and move on..."
Hedge is the main character in the story. He has been sent to Earth to observe and report on humanity's destruction of Plants and the Earth. (Before you start groaning, let me just tell you, Hedge is such a lovable character.) Hedge has a human wife, and the poor guy even eats her pork chops because he wants to make her happy... There are tender moments and alot of unspoken bonds between Hedge and Ann, he doesn't realize how much until he has to be away for a while and their existence is at stake... I have to stop here or I will spoil it for you. So, jaunt on over and get a copy of The Speaker For the Trees  by Sean Delauder. It is a quick read, and don't forget your toaster...
